The week before Easter Cherie was taken to the hospital with a bi-polar "incident".
Good News!! Cherie may be coming home tomorrow. I met with her and her nurse today and the nurse feels that the medicine is where it needs to be. Now we just have to change some habits!!
Cherie wants me to share a few things that happened while she was in the hospital. She feels that last Sunday she experienced a “break through”. She was sitting in a church service on Sunday afternoon and the speaker shared about a woman who was going down a long driveway to get her mail in the winter time. As she turned to go back to the house there was a sudden snow storm, what we commonly call a “whiteout”. The woman was terrified as she could not see which way to go back to her house. Occasionally there would be a break in the storm where she just catch a glimpse of a light that she believed was her house. She began to slowly follow the light until finally she made it home. Cherie feels that this is where she was and she began to see “lights”, little things that began to bring her back “home”. She remembers also feeling as if she was sleeping in the back of the boat with Jesus and that she was with the disciples in the storm when Jesus said those words, “Peace. Be still.” The lights began to come back on.
Now we continue to need your prayers as we work to help her heal. Here are some things that we need to work on;
Finding a hobby, something that will help her relax, that she enjoys.
Not looking ahead (to far) but to stay focused and live each day as the Lord gives it to her.
A consistent eating and sleeping schedule, as well as exercise.
Having fun and enjoying the life the Lord as given her.
Not to accept too many responsibilities.
(Hmmm, sounds like these might be good for all of us!!!)
Thanks so much for all your prayer, please don’t quit!!
Matt 6:
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
